 【NOK TC （Double Lip Oil Seal）】

   The NOK TC type oil seal is the most commonly used and standardized shaft oil seal structure in the industry.

   Developed and standardized by NOK Corporation of Japan, it is widely used in

   various types of machinery, automobiles, industrial equipment, and hydraulic systems.

 

   TC type oil seals feature a double-lip design, including:

  • Primary Lip: Provides oil seal
  • Accessory lip/Dust lip: blocks external dust, moisture, and pollutants from entering.

   This structure combines pressure resistance, wear resistance, sealing performance,

   and dustproof capability, making it the most stable and reliable general-purpose oil seal type currently available.

 

1、Construction

 

   The TC type oil seal consists of three main parts:

  1. （Metal Case）
  • Internal metal skeleton enhances the oil seal's stability within the seat bore.
  • It can withstand high-speed rotation and pressure changes.
  • High manufacturing precision and excellent concentricity.
  1. （Rubber Coating）
  • The outer diameter is covered with rubber to absorb the roughness or slight deformation of the seat hole.
  • Ensure installation stability and reduce leakage risk
  • Suitable for seat materials such as aluminum alloy, cast iron, and steel.
  1. （Double Lip）
  • Sealing Lip：
    It relies on a Garther spring to provide a constant sealing force and can seal oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, etc.
  • Dust Lip：
    Prevent dust, mud, and moisture from entering.
    Protect the main lip and extend its lifespan
    Suitable for operation in pulsating vibration, high dust, and humid environments.

 

2、（Material Options）

 

   NOK Common Materials are as follows：

  1. NBR
  • Excellent oil resistance and wear resistance
  • Suitable for general lubricating oils and mineral oils
  • temperature：-40°C ~ +120°C
  1. FKM（Viton）
  • High temperature resistance and high speed resistance
  • Oil-resistant and chemical-resistant
  • temperature：-20°C ~ +200°C
  1. ACM
  • Good resistance to ATF/lubricating oil
  • Applicable to automotive transmissions and engine components
  • temperature：-30°C ~ +150°C
  1. HNBR
  • Tear-resistant, abrasion-resistant, and high-pressure resistant
  • Applicable to high-pressure oil seals and refrigerant compressors
  • temperature：-40°C ~ +150°C
